Of course, you can enjoy a (free!!) cup of coffee at the Khaosan Living room ;)....
....or you can check out one of the many nice cafés around Sapporo. To help you pick a place, we created this little introduction about some interesting spots in town:
From factory to coffee palace
"DxM" is a place with a very special charm, because it actually used to be a factory. With it's high ceilings and glass- and metal-constructions, the building and interior still remind of it's former purpose.
The coffee is really delicious and so is the food! They have paninis and fresh salad, but the cafe's specialty are homemade donuts.

Another former factory is to be found a little outside the city center. Plantation can even fit a car into their café :D
The interior is also quite unique - especially some of the tables:

If you have visited the two links to the websites of the cafés so far, you probably noticed that they both belong to Morihico. And the original Morihico café is maybe one of the best cafés in Sapporo.
Located
near Maruyama station, this rustic wooden house cafe is a hidden gem! I
don't know much about good or bad coffee, but the warm and eye-pleasing
interiors of the cafe made the guests keep coming back. The cafe is
small, it may be able to accommodate not more than 20 people, but this
makes the cafe less noisy and calming. They have various types of
handmade coffee and very delicious cakes.
The barista carefully picked
the coffee beans in front of the customers as the quality control and
will always take a sip before serving to the customers to make sure the
coffee meets their standard. The price is also reasonable!

There are some more coffee shops run by Morihico. We will check them out for you soon and write about it the next time ;)
Books and coffee
Another great café in town is Brown Books Café. It is - as the name suggests - filled with books. Though most of them are for some reason in Czech. If you go there, you definitely have to try the homemade pies! They are heavenly tasty!!
Again, there is more than one cafe, but we will go there sometime else ;)
